MAVCAP is proud to host friends, thought leaders, and prominent speakers of the venture capital, technology and innovation industries at the inaugural Accelerating Ventures event. Guests came all the way from Hong Kong, Singapore and also from the UK to attend our event on the prospect of ventures in the region. We were also honoured to have 12 representatives ambassadors from Wisma Putra on a collaborative partnership effort to bring MAVCAP overseas and raise funds into Malaysia.

This special event is to support our aspiration to further champion a dynamic venture capital ecosystem, throughout the nation and on a global scale. Throughout 21 years, MAVCAP has built a fund size of over 2 billion ringgit, generated revenue of over 10 billion ringgit through its portfolio companies, backed 2 global VC firms namely 500 and Gobi partners, supported 3 regional VC firms and developed 3 local Malaysian VC firms. The impact created from all these achievements include the creation of over 30,000 jobs and the birth of Unicorns such as Carsome, Bukalapak, Carousell and of course, Grab.
