Day 1
The panel session titled “Breaking Barriers: Championing Women Leadership in Tech” was expertly moderated by Noor Amy Ismail, COO of MAVCAP. Nadira Yusoff, Founder and CEO of Kiddocare, shared about an innovative online platform that connects parents with highly trained babysitters and her experience as an early hardware developer in a tech space dominated by men. Elaine, the Managing Director of Migratesafe, shared about the unique challenges of being a women in a startup agency dedicated to providing reliable services for live-in helpers, general workers, and work permit seekers in Sarawak.
During the session, the panelists engaged in a thought-provoking discussion about the challenges and experiences faced by women in the tech industry and in their respective industries. They emphasized the pressing need for more opportunities for women to showcase their talents and pitch for investment. Furthermore, they underscored the vital importance of promoting gender diversity and inclusion within the field.
Day 2
Today on the second day of MYSTARTUP NXT Sarawak, our CEO Shahril Anas and CIO Paramjit SIngh shared a panel session with Hazwan Razak of Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation (SDEC) to discuss about “The Growing Investor Interest: Drivers for Tech Development”. Moderated by Poovernaj Kanagaraj, Editor & Writer of Cradle, they shared their insights on the rapidly growing tech industry in Malaysia, and how to navigate the landscape to make informed investment decisions.
