Clarence Leong, CEO of online comparison platform for parcel delivery, EasyParcel joins us at our ILHAMAVCAP talk to share his ups and downs in his startup journey. EasyParcel for Clarence did not come easy as he ventured into many different types of businesses before starting up EasyParcel which is now on a growth trajectory.
EasyParcel is a delivery services and helps you compare the different delivery rates. Clarence founded EasyParcel back in 2014 to enable customers to book deliveries with multiple established courier companies at competitive price. EasyParcel also innovated its logistic solutions to allow for paperless shipping labels and gave freelance drivers who lost their jobs during the pandemic and women entrepreneurs in parcel deliveries.
Clarence was a material-science aerospace engineer in the UK before deciding to return to Malaysia to become an entrepreneur. He shared his journey and motivation on his return home to Malaysia and how he persevered on in creating a few startups before getting it right with EasyParcel. EasyParcel now has more than one million users including SMEs, with an average of 100,000 deliveries daily, and has a presence around Southeast Asia.
