Datuk Dr. Amiruddin Hassim is the Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Science, Technology & Innovation (MOSTI) starting from September 15, 2022. Datuk Dr. Amiruddin Hassim have served in the Civil Service for 28 years.
Among the positions he have held are Special Officer to the Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Housing & Local Government (1992 – 1993), Project Officer PTD Grade M3 at the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN), Public Service Department (JPA) (1994 – 2000), Director, Corporate Services Grade M54 at the Economic Planning Unit (UPE), Prime Minister’s Department (JPM) (2003 – 2009), Vice President, Khazanah Nasional Berhad (2009 – 2010), Director of the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN), Public Service Department JPA, Grade JUSA B (2010 – 2012), Director of the National Strategy Unit (NSU), Ministry of Finance MoF, Grade JUSA A (2012 – 2018), and President of Putrajaya Corporation, Grade Turus III (2018 – 2020).
Before joining MOSTI, Datuk Dr. Amiruddin Hassim was the Director General of the National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA) in the Prime Minister’s Department (Position PTD Turus III) starting in 2020.
