Dzuleira Abu Bakar started her career, armed with a legal qualification from UiTM, in the legal department in the education franchise fraternity where she was largely exposed to the legalities and also management of franchises.

This was followed by a 5 year stint managing the legal office at Astronautic Technology Sdn. Bhd (ATSB), a Government Linked Company (GLC) spearheading satellite engineering and space systems technology. Here, her scope and responsibilities included project due-diligences, contracts management and drafting, also issues pertaining to intellectual property, aside from assisting in overall project management and providing advise to the management.

Here she was part of the core team in various high level projects such as the National Remote Sensing Satellite (RazakSAT) launch, the National Tsunami Early Warning System and many more. She also has wide international exposure in areas of business and contract negotiations with various companies in Asia, US and Europe.

Dzuleira joined MAVCAP in early 2009. She is assigned to manage the Outsource Partners Programme (OSP); a scheme where MAVCAP distributes significant portions of funds to venture capital management companies, who in turn invest in high-growth firms.

Dzuleira also holds Master in Management from University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur.
