Fara has been in the Venture Capital line since 2003.She received her first hand experience in venture capital at DTA Ventures Management Sdn. Bhd after she was seconded by the Securities Commission. Over there, Fara was exposed to the complete cycle of VC investments and given the opportunity to handle the financial management of some of the local investees. Over her tenure, she was exposed to accounting intricacies and the management of portfolio companies. She was instrumental in incorporating three BVI companies and managed its transactions. She also did backlog accounting and consolidation for the MGIC Group of Companies.

In MAVCAP, Fara supports Agency Ventures on its Outsource Partners Programme and also does direct investments. Fara received her tertiary education at Universiti Tenaga Nasional with a BBA (Hons) in Finance.

Fara’s passion is trading. She was taught as a Fundamentalist but her inclinations are that more of a Chartist. She trades FKLI futures as well as forex as a hobby. Fara loves nature, relishes morning walks and drinking tea.
