Aziz joined MAVCAP in October 2004 with approximately 10 years experience in corporate restructuring, corporate recovery and corporate advisory - skill sets which provide a good base to advise and manage MAVCAP's investee companies. At MAVCAP, Aziz is responsible in evaluating and managing portfolios in varied information technology sub-sector, namely e-commerce, information security, telecommunication solutions and new media technologies. Aziz has a positive outlook on MAVCAP's technology companies specifically and the IT industry generally as it is his belief that there is a pool of good technology being innovated in Malaysia.

He fills his free time playing sports games, though he is self-admit golf wreck - for now. Aziz was formerly of a corporate advisory firm, Normandy and prior to that spent some years in Ernst & Young. He has an accounting degree from University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur.
