Sector and Domain Focus

MAVCAP will follow the main thrust of the overall direct investment strategy but shall focus its Seed investment focus on segments whereby national platforms and large scale prominent infrastructures has already been planned in Malaysia.

For instance, when the country has already focus on a prominent area such as a national provider of e-infrastructure and broadband services, we can fund "cluster" industries upon this platform that would provide sufficient criteria mass for local technologies and partner companies to participate and build upon for greater traction and success.

Additionally, the primary emphasis will be placed on investments in ICT and internet-related businesses and high growth sectors such as biotech and life sciences will be considered on a case-by-case basis due to the longer gestation period of growth.
