Dato' Redza Rafiq Abdul Razak

Dato' Redza Rafiq has been appointed as the Chief Executive of The Northern Corridor Implementation Authority ("NCIA") on 1 January 2010. The NCIA is a body corporate, incorporated under the Northern Corridor Implementation Authority Act 2008 (Act 687), responsible for strategic socio-economic development of the Northern Corridor Economic Region (NCER) - a government initiative to accelerate economic growth and elevate income levels in the north of Peninsular Malaysia encompassing the states of Kedah, Perak, Perlis and Pulau Pinang.

Dato' Redza was appointed as Managing Director of Cyberview Sdn Bhd on 15 February 2006. He was previously the Chief Operating Officer since 1 January 2002, after which he was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Cyberview on 15 July 2004 to restructure and revive Cyberjaya. He has been involved in the development of Cyberjaya since 1997.

Dato' Redza holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Hull, United Kingdom and an MBA (Finance and E-Commerce).

Dato' Redza was previously with the Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) prior to his secondment to Cyberview. His primary roles at MDeC were to ensure the financial sustainability of MDeC and its venture capital subsidiary; and to help enable the delivery of new programmes to spur the growth of the information and communications technology industry via the MSC Malaysia initiative. He was also responsible for the financial restructuring of MDeC.

Dato' Redza started his career at the Renong Group of Companies under the Renong Group Management Office and was exposed to various corporate work.

He presently sits on the Board of Penang Port Sdn Bhd, a company fully owned by the Ministry of Finance (Incorporated) to operate , manage and maintain all port facilities and services; Cyberview Sdn Bhd, the Government-owned landowner of Cyberjaya; Malaysia Venture Capital Management Berhad, Malaysia largest venture capital firm which focuses on investments in information and communications technology sector; Fabtronic Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Cyberview which functions as an outsourcing agent to AMD, a multinational company in the semi-conductor industry; and is the Deputy President of the Malaysian Institute of Corporate Governance.
