Encik Mustafar Bin Taib, Deputy Under Secretary, Loan Management, Financial Market and Actuary Division, Ministry of Finance, Malaysia, was appointed to the MAVCAP Board on 14 June 2009. In addition to MAVCAP, Encik Mustafar is also a Board Member of the Konsortium Baja Nasional Sdn Bhd.

A member of the Ministry of Finance since 1984, Encik Mustafar holds a M.A. in Economics from the University of Hartford, USA and an Economics degree from the University of Malaya. He also holds a Diploma in Public Management from the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN), Kuala Lumpur.

Encik Mustafar is married with five children.
